Avowed: How to find the Ring of Slow Essence Easily
While exploring the vast world of Avowed, players are bound to encounter an assortment of Unique-rarity gear. These distinctive items often have unique properties that set them apart from regular gear, making them valuable to keep, especially in the late game if utilized effectively. One such item is the Ring of Slow Essence.
This is one of the few items in the game that can automatically restore Essence. Since you need Essence to perform magic spells, this Unique is worth your attention, especially since it can be discovered early in the game. Here’s how to find it.

Where to Find the Ring of Slow Essence in Avowed
This ring can be found hidden in a secret spot just outside of Paradis City, specifically in the Dawnshore region of the game. To reach it, begin at the Paradis Main Gate Beacon and head north through the passage that lies between the Watermill and Administrative District on the map. Stay near the rocky trail adjacent to the Paradis paths until you arrive at a ruined castle area.
Turn right to arrive at the place shown in the image above, where you'll find a statue of an elderly person holding a lamp. Move in closer to the lamp and interact with the switch. This will unlock a concealed doorway next to the statue, revealing a Legendary rarity chest that has the Ring of Slow Essence in Avowed inside.
While the regeneration rate is slow, as the name indicates, it should be more than enough for players who are likely at levels 4 to 6 in this part of the game. For magic users, this gear is incredibly beneficial because it generates Essence over time, which means they can conserve consumables and won’t need to head back to camp frequently, as their gauge will be replenished during their time away from combat.
According to the in-game description, this wooden ring appears to have been taken from an ancient tree long before the events of Avowed. Although its power has diminished over the centuries, it still possesses enough vitality to provide its wearer with a gradual yet consistent increase in Essence.
